Axpo is building a best-in-class IT that will bring us to the next level in digitalization, data intelligence, digital workplace, and collaboration. We have started many initiatives on our transformation roadmap and think about way more. We are therefore looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in digital change projects and a track record of coordinating diverse project streams.

IT Project Manager

What you will do

• You will take on and successfully deliver digitalization initiatives such as implementing modern work place tools from conceptional phase to roll out, migrating applications and data into the cloud, decommissioning legacy solutions, or other demands that help shaping the best possible digital environment for our customers
• You will guide your colleagues by setting clear goals and breaking them down into transparent roles, responsibilities, work packages, and milestones
• You create clarity on the project setup, resources, and methodologies, so that project members can take ownership and contribute individually to reach our common goals
• You closely involve all stakeholders and keep everybody in the organization informed about plans, achievements, challenges, risks.
• You strongly engage in shaping our project management best practices, so that we become a lean and powerful organization that constantly boosts our time to market and creates enthusiastic customers and users

What you bring & who you are

• You have for at least 5 to 10 years consistently been leading digitalization projects in complex, transformative environments in different industries
• You have a strong technical understanding, but you don’t have to be the best technician in the team. You are versatile and a quick learner. Your skills lie in orchestrating all kinds of project members in all kinds of functions. You therefore have ideally experience in both, application management and/or infrastructure management, and you think and act cross functional.
• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business administration, software engineering, or a comparable education.
• You are renown for your strong leadership, organizational and communication skills towards all levels, including technicians, stakeholders, and executives.
• You are certified in classic and agile project management practices, and you are skilled in using modern tools for making your projects transparent and understood.
• You are fluent in business German and English. Other languages are a plus
  

About the team
The team reports to the Head of Group IT Operations & Projects and includes various functions and tasks such as service management, IT controlling, IT purchasing, and program and project management. The team is particularly concerned with strategic IT projects and tasks at group level
