The opportunity

In this role you will be part of our Consulting business and collaboratively work on challenging Data Architecture, Engineering and Analytics projects for our clients while using the latest technologies.

Our Consulting business offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing high-value and trusted advice to clients, with a specific focus on business transformation programs. We provide seamless, consistent, and high-quality services to our clients around the world. Our teams work collaboratively with our clients to deliver all aspects from design to delivery of data, analytics and insight solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• 
  Design, build, and deploy the data architecture for our clients
• Translate data, integration, and analytics requirements into technical recommendations
• Design and build insightful visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate results
• Create architectural blueprints and models to help our clients realize value from data-centric projects
• Design and develop data solutions using industry-standard technologies, collaborating with other data architects and engineers to ensure that solutions are in line with technological trends
• Ensure that solutions are delivered on time; collaborate with project sponsors to manage scope and risk

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• 
  You hold a Master’s degree and you have up to 5 years of working experience with Data Engineering and Architecture (e.g. Data Architecture Design, Data Modelling, Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Management)
• Deep experience with relational databases and data warehouses with hands-on advanced SQL skills
• Capability to take on tasks with little direction, and produce high-value deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language
• Ability to operate with a team, including remote teams
• Business fluency in English and German is required

Ideally, you’ll also have

• 
  Experience architecting data solutions on one or more major cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) platforms and/or at least one cloud platform data engineering certificate (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Experience with next generation data platform concepts, such as Data Fabric, Data Lakehouse or Data Mesh
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
• Experience with graph databases, such as Neo4J
• Hands on experience in architecting Big Data applications using Hadoop and related technologies such as Spark, Hive, Elasticsearch, HDFS, Splunk, etc.
• Hands on experience with streaming platforms and applications such as Spark streaming, Kafka, Storm
• Hands-on programming skills with Python, Java or other language
• Interest or experience in the broader data, analytics and automation field: Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Visualization, Process Mining, Robotic Process Automation
