Job Description

As a Junior IT Engineer at Swissquote, you will work closely with both Software Development and IT in order to improve our agility and our business. After a period of training, you will join our IT Operations team and you will take part in maintaining the quality, stability and performance of our software environments and you will actively participate in the improvement and automation of our deployment procedures.

As this is a part-time position (50%), we are open to working with your availability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, uptime and performance of all our production applications and systems
• Application monitoring and incident response
• Timely communication and escalation
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Deploy applications & their components to production servers
• Work along side Infrastructure and Development engineers to ensure speed of delivery and stability
• Provide top-level support for applications and internal tools
• Document operations processes and procedures
• Work with development and IT teams providing application and development tool support
  

Qualifications

• Informaticien-ne CFC / ES or higher.
• Good knowledge of LINUX/UNIX command line as well as one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java
• Great verbal and written skills in English and French
• Excellent problem solving skills
• A drive to assist colleagues and internal teams
• Capability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
• Experience with one of the following is a plus: Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform/Puppet
• But most important, you are open-minded, motivated and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
