We are looking for a Global Category Manager Tap Systems in our global category team. You will manage and develop the category multifunctional tap systems (water treatment products namely filtration, instant boiling water and chiller/carbonizer devices), uncover customer needs while conducting market segmentation and targeting and monitor performance by assessing the profitability of existing products.

In this position are you a member of the Central Category Management team with reporting line to the Head Global Category Management Taps who is located at headquarter of Franke Home Solutions in Aarburg. As an alternative we also offer to work in our site in Peschiera / Italy.

• Responsibility of the product category and its P&L performance from a global view
• Manage the product portfolio from all different perspectives (complexity, product life cycle, COGS, price positioning, margin, and sales)
• Analyze and interpret market trends and competitive environment where Franke operates and where it can operate in the future (global perspective)
• Translate local and global market needs into competitive product requirements for global product launches.
• Ensure that customer, end-user, and market insights are considered and remain covered over the whole product development process
• Take the lead in product concept & requirements definition, positioning & story development and support in marketing material & training plan developments
• Manage interface with R&D and Operations during product development, launch process and life cycle management
• Create a launch plan, lead the launch process and support sales to build sustainable sales after launch
• Collect and analyze performance data (market, profitability and operations)
• Share best practice with other product managers and regional marketing managers

• Academic background: Bachelor or master’s degree in marketing, Industrial Design or Engineering (or equivalent) with strong background in marketing, sales or product management subjects
• Professional experience: Minimum professional experience of 8 years and 4 years in a similar role of which at least a time in the kitchen/sanitary ware business
• Demonstrated successful experience in product portfolio management
• Comfortable with technical topics and working with R&D and Operations during the innovation process
• Live entrepreneurship and be business orientated
• Convince with strong process and project management capabilities
• Be hands on and a true team player
• Strong leadership competencies, experience in managing cross-functional teams and be a balanced decision maker
• Comfortable with working on a global scale with diverse culture exposures
• Track record of resource and budget management capabilities
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Willingness to travel worldwide (30%)
