As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your Responsibilities

►Technical project lead of the upper structure development

►Development and integration of early drafts, design parts, assemblies and installation assemblies, prepare documentation or presentation for design review process and certification

►Development and design of structural elements related to ATA chapter 53

►Cooperate with superiors to define and maintain detailed planning, scheduling and cost control of his/her work package

►Complies with, and implements, the legal aviation & safety requirements within his/her area

►Ensures that the configuration management rules are followed and implemented

Your Qualifications & Experience

►Degree in relevant Engineering discipline (Aeronautical/Mechanical)

►Min. 5 years relevant aeronautical design experience

►Knowledge about CS-27 requirements related to ATA chapter 51, 53

►Competencies in composite and metallic design and manufacturing standards

►Siemens NX knowledge

►Ability to work under pressure

►English spoken and written minimum B2 level
