About The TEAM

We are the Governance and Project Excellence team, under the Life Sciences Portfolio and Program Delivery discipline. Our mission is to develop and implement a data-driven governance in the Life Sciences function, with focus on the digitalization of the project portfolio, agile intake, budget and cost management processes, and value-added project management principles.

Several highly skilled professionals are supporting this mission the Governance and Business Coordinator, the Manager of Portfolio and Project Intelligence and her team, the Manager Delivery Excellence & Business Planning and his team, as well as the Managers of Innovation Programs & Projects.

Who we’re looking for
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of AI and deep learning and ability to create dedicated AI algorithms, exception reports and trend reports
  • Big picture mindset and still focus to details
  • Understanding/Experience of Project Management would be a plus
Roles & Objectives

In connection with our transformation, we started to use a new “Portfolio and Project Management” tool, allowing us to manage the schedule, people allocation and financials for each project in our portfolio. This generates valuable data, which now can provide historic knowledge about our initiatives, as well as trends and forecasts.

The idea of the internship is to use at maximum the data available, for example
  • Ensure data cleaning and check them through automation (data quality)
  • Use these data for forecasting and scenario making
We are looking for practical application of a few use cases we have prepared, as well as the identification and implementation of further opportunities for supervised learning to enhance automation and scenario creation, using these areas as a starting point
  • Validate data quality according to evolutive criteria set by each central function;
  • Identify and remediate gaps in project maturity;
  • Collect historic performance data and establish portfolio forecasting;
  • Perform what-if scenarios to allow prioritization based on cost, resources and benefits.
