Mission
  • Contribute to the development of Virtual Sports for the IOC
  • Participate in the implementation of the Olympic Virtual Series
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and transversal project delivery in the area of virtual sport
Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of Virtual Sports for the IOC, supporting the Head of Virtual Sports and other involved colleagues in the delivery of relevant projects and initiatives, including Olympic Agenda 2020+5 recommendation 9.
  • Participate in the organisation and implementation of the Olympic Virtual Series, providing technical, operational and project management support with a special focus on program management
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders of the Olympic Movement (i.e. International Federations, National Olympic Committees, Organising Committees of the Olympic Games, Athletes) for all matters related to virtual sports and gaming
  • Provide strategic consulting services to stakeholders of the Olympic Movement
  • Work with IOC relevant functions and Olympic stakeholders to ensure project coordination and effective project delivery
  • Project manage various initiatives connected to the area of virtual sport and support the effective execution of the related internal processes (reporting, budgeting, etc)
  • Support the functional management and teams in all related activities
Training, language and IT competences
  • University degree or equivalent in business, marketing, media and/or entertainment industry
  • Approx. 5 years of experience in Project Management in complex and multi-functional environments
  • Experience in sports administration and/or marketing, esports, or management consulting
  • Experience with sports simulations is a definite plus
  • Knowledge and expertise in working at or directly with game publishers and esports stakeholders from within media / sports / entertainment organizations, with deep understanding of the ecosystem
  • Ability to develop and maintain key strategic relationships with a wide array of stakeholders in sports and entertainment
  • Thorough understanding of both gaming and sports industries, with respective trends, challenges and areas of collaboration
  • Fluent in English and/or French
  • Digital and data savviness
  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools
