General Description

The Manager/Senior Manager, Learning and Development will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of effective and practical Learning & Development (L&D) solutions for the EMEA region, including affiliates in UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain as well as other emerging new markets. They will help create learning experiences that enhance and continuously improves the skills, competencies, and expected performance of BeiGene employees. They will oversee L&D program execution and day to day activities including but not limited to: leadership and employee development, team development and change management. As part of the NA/EMEA L&D team, the incumbent will work closely with local HR team and business functional leaders, to support their talent development needs.

Essential Functions Of The Job
  • Assess, develop, deliver and continuously improve core leadership and employee development programs to ensure that BeiGene is providing continuous and relevant development for employees, managers, and leaders
  • Use adult learning principles to help develop and facilitate internal learning programs across a variety of mediums (virtual and in-person) to drive learning goals and promote inclusion and belonging.
  • Manage day to day activities including eLMS, project management, budgeting and communications.
  • Provide expertise in management development, team effectiveness, leadership, and performance management.
  • Enable the reporting and communication of analytics, statistics, metrics and trends to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs to all the relevant stakeholders;
  • Identify progressive tools and technologies that will improve effectiveness of training classes
  • Design and conduct follow-up evaluation and curriculum improvements as needed.
  • Manage ad hoc projects, as requested.

Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 5-8 years of Learning & Development related experience from multi-national companies. Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience managing learning management systems.
  • Familiar with relevant theories and practices of general competence and leadership development, and planning and implementation of L&D workshops;
  • Effective performance diagnosis and internal consulting skills, and be able to translate business needs into practical design of L&D solutions;
  • Natural coach, with great teaching and influencing techniques to all level of staff; comfort with facilitating learning and development programs both virtual and in person
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent planning and project management skills, is capable of multi-tasking and delivering results on time;
  • Able to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic and high demand working environment, including working virtually and working from office environment;
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a strong focus on high quality outcomes and able to respond positively to change;
  • With growth mindset, be able to constantly challenge comfort zone and update skills and experience;
  • A team-player and people oriented.
