ROLE PURPOSE/MISSION


Acts as the Ambassador of the global brand vision, positioning, key strategies and guidelines to ensure consistent implementation adapted to the defined priorities in DM E&A.

The Senior Marketing Manager directly leads the central DM E&A team of métiers and collaborates closely with the EMEA Business Development Director and regional métiers team, to ensure common understanding, alignment and ways of working for impeccable and excellent, consistent and qualitative implementation of global vision and strategy. The scope of the Senior Marketing Manager covers the métiers of brand and collection management, PR & Communication, CRM, Digital & E-business, as well as SD&VM. The Senior Marketing Manager also indirectly manages the local brand managers. This external resource is sitting inside the distributors’ organizations. To motivate and support, positively influence and closely monitor the local brand managers is critical to ensure the effective management of La Prairie’s distributor and direct sales channels’ marketing resources. In essence the Senior Marketing Manager role is to ensure the company’s brand and business development luxury strategy objectives are landed in a qualitative & profitable manner.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Strategy

Participating in the development of the overall DM business strategy to achieve company DM objectives. Contribution to the annual DM business plan. Support analysis / drive changes in business set up including associated internal / external negotiations.

  • Distributor Relationships

To positively manage distributor relationships through marketing, brand, SD/VM and CRM / client activities and across customer business functions to ensure that La Prairie’s brand luxury positioning is clearly understood, and that the brand is top of mind for luxury skincare opportunities. Ensure brand vision and roadmap is cascaded and adhered to by distributor markets.

  • Direct Sales Management

Through La Prairie’s direct retailer partner/s ensure same seamless Business Development execution as in affiliate & distributor markets and directly plan and negotiate the local marketing plan including innovation, CRM, Digital etc.

  • Marketing Strategy

Marketing plan including digital for local execution in accordance with global and regional guidelines. Reflect the brands strategy and objectives and motivate, report, monitor and manage performance of distributors / retailers against target.

  • Product Launches

Ensure global & regional guidelines are implemented at POS, presentations, events etc. Brand custodian to ensure that corporate identity of the La Prairie brand is taken into consideration in all local marketing activities.

  • Budget Management

To manage and control the Marketing budget to ensure the company gets the best return on investment also with third party entities and that all budgets are managed in line with defined % of sales objectives / luxury brand building objectives.

  • CRM

Through managing CRM manager ensuring the roll out of global / regional CRM strategy and implementation of the global CRM programs

  • PR Activities

Based on global guidelines define appropriate PR Strategy for distributors and direct sales markets: select and nourish voices and digital creators in selected markets support markets integration with local editors and support global events e.g Art Basel

  • Merchandising

Through managing SD/VM ensure speedy roll out of NSD and VM execution as per guidelines to increase the quality of estate in the DMs & Direct markets within budget limitations

  • Team work

Support the overall DM Team beyond own scope of brand and business development activities.

  • Leadership

Guiding, motivating and developing the Business analyst through internal procedures and coaching.

  • Processes and Organization

On-going drive the effective and efficient further development of planning, execution and sales processes linked to BD area


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • University degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Marketing Management, preferably in luxury cosmetics within a recognised brand orientated company.
  • People management & development of teams. Ideally direct & indirect leadership experience.
  • Ability to translate business priorities into a focused, simple, prioritized and measurable plan for overall DM E&A and plan by DM market
  • Entrepreneurial personality and original thinker with initiative and a driving spirit.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship building skills to enthuse partners.
  • Self-disciplined and target oriented personality who is detail oriented and accurate but still helicopter view
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks, markets and projects simultaneously
  • Skilful in all key MS-Office applications (particularly PPT and Excel)
  • Proficient English skills are a must any other language a plus
