In our engineering team of our surge arrester factory in Wettingen, we are currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled mechanical designer. In this key position and with your technical expertise, you will take care of our products and create and maintain the required technical documents. You will collaborate closely with all functions at our location and obtain a deep insight into the whole value chain.

Your Responsibilities
  • Technical support for the assigned products for surge arrestors
  • Design and development of products, equipment, molds and assembly equipment
  • Creation, release and maintenance of technical documents: concepts, calculations, drawings, bills of materials and instructions
  • Strong collaboration with sales, product management, SCM, quality and manufacturing
  • Execution and documentation of tests for the qualification of equipment, materials, products and processes
  • Elaboration of specifications for the procurement of materials, components and operating resources
  • Participation in the supplier evaluation and qualification

Your background
  • Degree in mechanical design and engineering (technician or engineer)
  • Several years of experience in the use of 2D / 3D CAD (Creo, AutoCAD), PLM (Windchill) and SAP systems
  • Knowledge of industrial production technologies of advantage
  • Team spirit with the capacity to work independently and proactively and in a structured way
  • Resilience and experience at the interface of engineering and production
  • Fluent in German and English
