Job Description

The Medical Operations Business Partner supports the Medical Lead, Western Europe and Central Eastern Europe to execute the global medical strategy and is responsible for the centralized pull-through of Medical Operational Services to support the ECP region, including but not limited to Business Metrics and Reporting support, AOP facilitation/ budget tracking, orchestration of the Integrated Customer Plan (ICP), Process Optimization, Coordinating feedback from Global or Regional, Advisory Board meeting operations, and Vendor and Contract Management.

Note this is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2022 with potential extension.

The role will also drive identification of insights as they relate to the Regional or Therapeutic Area operational needs (as applicable) and take charge of communicating these to the WM (world-wide medical) central functions. In addition, it collaborates with the WM central functions in designing and/ or optimizing their services and flow of information to continuously meet the needs for operational support of the region in a compliant way. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring customer service is second to none by providing operational support and alleviating the operational burden from Medical roles. All these key components are within Worldwide Medical Operations so we can work across the business in an aligned and coordinated way.

What You’ll Do

In alignment with ECP Medical Strategy and Execution Lead and the ECP Medical Operations Business Partner:
  • You will lead and execute daily operations of the ECP region, for affiliates, focus on Western Europe and Central Eastern Europe
  • Track financials and own budget update and forecast, support resource management , track studies as well as ECP medical goals & draft solution-oriented plans as needed
  • Orchestrate planning process at sub-regional level (WE & CEE) and support liaison with the Affiliates, incl. MSL team (during plan development and execution)
  • Stand in to represent the region and its objectives at various cross-functional committees
  • Support development of launch readiness plan (incl. Affiliates) and oversee tracking for ECP AD team
  • Act as the go-to person for the Medical personnel in the region to them help them navigate the service landscape and support access and ease-of-use
  • Execute planning meetings within the region to develop objectives and implement strategies and procedures (project management)
  • Be an ambassador for the adoption and use of the WM central services by the region and its affiliates and the linking pin between Worldwide Medical Operations Center and the ECP region
  • Work closely with the Medical Operations Business Partner network in identifying customer insights and channel these back effectively to the Center
  • Drive alignment around prioritized activities and pull through Centralized Services and resources to ensure implementation
  • Act as a point of contact for the cross-functional team
  • Establish best-practice methodologies and share these within the Operations Partner network to leverage synergies in driving creative solutions
  • Execute ECP above the market tactics
  • Provide project management expertise and resources for the successful delivery of regional/local initiatives, especially across TAs
  • Lead the regional implementation of governance structure(s)/procedures
  • Support efficient pull-through of global tactics to ECP affiliates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor (Masters degree preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life science or other GxP compliant industry
  • Experience in Medical and/ or Commercial, Market Access, Finance
  • Experience in interfacing with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in project management, incl. developing and/or evaluating feasibility for projects/technologies/assets while accounting for technical and business needs
  • Prior experience in working closely with an Affiliate (eg Regional level)
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing a new process, procedure, initiative, etc.
  • Demonstrated use of data characterization and analysis for business process improvement
