Job Purpose and Impact

The Middle Office Analyst will be responsible to ensure accurate entry of all components of Daily Position & PNL, support the delivery of financial analysis related to the Business Group’s activities, be engaged in profitability & month end reporting, identify processes improvement, contribute to data management & visualization and reply to ad hoc management requests.

This position collaborates with various teams in the Business Group as well as various locations giving the opportunity to network globally across Cargill and collaborate with different cultures and nationalities. Regular performance reviews are held, and development goals are set to unleash the potential for future senior roles or transition into a different department or business group.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform daily operational activities including trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and all trade life cycle events and ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Act as a key liaison with traders and other internal and external counterparties to manage operational tasks, communicate and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and run system processes, control reports, system feeds, reference and static data, error analysis and remediation action.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
  • Contribute to process and system changes required to implement new trade structures and to support business growth.
  • Suggest improvements and process and system enhancements to mitigate risks, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in exchange listed futures, options and over the counter cleared derivatives and other relevant financial instruments on commodities
  • Experienced in leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
  • Confirmed system and operational knowledge in the end-to-end trade flows and trade life cycles of exchange listed futures, options and over the counter cleared derivatives from trading to clearing and all post trade activities
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong IT literacy, demonstrated ability to learn systems, tools, applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Self-starter who works well both independently and, in a team, taking full accountability for own tasks
  • Dynamic, self-confident, enthusiastic, and proactive
  • Able to works under pressure
  • Experience of databases and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Detail oriented
