Ploom Consumer Experience Manager - Geneva, Switzerland

Purpose of the Role

Why does this role exist?

In line with the new global JTI Corporate Strategy, the Ploom Brand Group is responsible for the long-term strategic development of the Ploom brand and the company presence in the RRP Heated Tobacco category. The team develops the global brand strategy, communication and activation tools, retail, and Flagship stores development to build the Ploom brand as a global leader in the RRP HT market. Together with the team, the Ploom Consumer Experience Manager will provide global leadership and management for the long term strategic development of the Ploom brand, develop full communication assets for all touchpoints on the consumer journey in a fully omnichannel way, in line with the needs of the consumer and the long and short term commercial objectives of the global business.

What will you actually do?

The Ploom Consumer Experience Manager will be responsible for multiple brand initiatives and projects in the area of strategy and positioning, global portfolio and brand world development, Global communications including market support with toolkits and best practices.

A full set of initiatives to support the consumer on all stages of their consumer journey including building awareness and building loyalty and advocacy, projects and activations for offline and online channels, the global brand calendar with promotions and activities.

The responsibilities include agencies management, budget management, strategic presentation for sharing with markets and senior management, regular alignment with key stakeholders throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication & Consumer Experience Develop best-in-class marketing communications and branding campaigns across the portfolio, including big communication ideas, advertising, PR&Media, Influencers strategy. Full Omnichannel communication for all Touchpoints including offline and online declinations. Develop communications for current and new product launches and product innovations. A full omnichannel approach including communication, retail, ambassadors, and online.
  • Consumer Engagement & Activation Develop the Global Brand Calendar and activation programs including yearly promotions. Development of own Retail design for full retail declinations from Flagships to General trade, inc. POSM, merchandising. Lead development of brand messaging and ambassador support for consumer engagement.
  • Brand Stewardship Act as brand guardian to ensure all projects are building toward the broader brand vision and ensure cohesive implementation of the strategy and key equities. Provide quality and timely input for A&SP, SPC, Regional clarification sessions for the Ploom brand. Point of contact for new markets and responsible for brand introduction presentations. Represent the brand team in key forums and update meetings to ensure markets/regions are aware of key initiatives.
  • Flagships & Retail Development of the brand expression in the 3D world, development of overall own retail strategy, look and feel for retail. Coordination with key markets in implementing Flagship shops in major international cities while ensuring that the overall brand expression is consistent across markets and builds brand equity.
  • Budget ROI measurement accurate planning and phasing delivering transparency and ensuring efficient utilization of available resources. Input into all HQ reporting requirements in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
  • University degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 6-10 years proven track record of accomplishments in Brand Management. International, cross-functional or RRP experience will be considered as a plus.
  • Strong Strategic and Creative skills. Curious and thrives in an environment that requires continuous learning and innovation.
  • Strong conceptual and analytic skills, while paying attention to details.
  • Adapt rapidly to change and are at ease to work in a dynamic and agile environment that is fast-paced with shifting priorities.
  • Values to work in a team where positive energy, openness, and trust is key.
  • Willing to take accountability and is result-oriented.
  • Proactive in taking initiative and creative in seeking solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong PowerPoint.
