We are looking for 2 Principal Enterprise Architects to join our team in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Your day to day
  • Multi-domain experience, for example, experience in any two of the following domains Customer Engagement (B2C), Finance, Products, Life Sciences, Customer Engagement (B2B) or Analytics & Data
  • Be a key contributor to the overall IT-Digital strategy and ensure the realization of goals such as reuse, simplification, and business agility.
  • Design and drive Business Architecture – Business Value Streams, Business Process, Business Capability Models.
  • Build strong cross-organizational relationships and effectively influence staff across the IT organization and broader enterprise
  • Lead architecture efforts that promote and implement greater architectural consistency and technology sharing across functional domains
  • Define, implement, operate consistent architecture and technology governance practices cross-domain throughout the planning and delivery cycles. Provide both technology and architecture oversight and governance as part of this process
  • Collaborate with internal partners to define application & technology standards, conventions, and best practices, including compliance with security requirements
  • Provide cross-application subject matter expertise for solutions
  • Participate in application capacity planning and facilitate proof of concepts
  • Lead all aspects of the evaluation and selection of 3rd party software packages (including SaaS) as well as the design of standard application configuration of these packages
  • Multi-task in a complex, global environment while focusing on the architectural success of multiple projects
  • Lead new technology adoption to deliver new capabilities and drive value attainment
  • Develop the global architecture community of practice and mentor architects in the development of their skills
  • Lead Portfolio Management activities associated with reducing portfolio complexity, ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture
  • Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture
  • Promoting and educating customers and partners on the use and value of the enterprise architecture
  • Analyzing and gaining consensus about the best way to manage enterprise change
  • Effectively communicating to different audiences, clearly and concisely in written documents (graphics or text)
  • Coherently and logically presenting proposals and concepts to the team, with a balance of authority and humility
  • Articulating the architectural story in language fitting the audience, with clearly stated expectations and benefits
Who we are looking for

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience of which at least ten years of relevant Enterprise Architecture experience
  • Prior experience as a Principal Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, Head of Enterprise Architecture in a global organization
  • Understand business strategy and priorities (i.e., strategic capabilities), and work with architecture domains to align strategy
  • Work with Domain Architects and Solution Architects in preparation for Architecture Review Board (ARB), Architecture Portfolio Management, Architecture Assessment
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and coaching to the Domain and Solution architects
  • Review and sign off architecture designs
  • Drive improvements of architecture processes, methodologies, and services, ensuring the quality of architecture assets
  • Develop architecture metrics and plans to achieve results
  • Ability to sell, influence, and build consensus at all levels of the company
  • Ability to translate idea’s into useful requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a validated ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
  • Architecture framework (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)

  • Enterprise Architecture Repository (LeanIX)
  • Shown ability to effectively apply teams from globally remote locations
  • Deep and broad technical and intuition for business
  • Technical domains (applications, security, integration, network design, cloud, data)
  • Business models (B2B, B2C, B2B2C, subscription)
  • Business capabilities L1-L4
  • Business Processes (O2C, P2P, ATP, etc.)

Essential Requirements

Qualifications and education requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or Business Management
  • Previous exposure to an international environment
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Preferred Requirements
  • MBA or Ph.D. will be viewed positively
  • Waterfall and agile methodologies
  • IT automation platforms and VCS like Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git
  • Compliance (PII, PCI, SOX, etc.)
  • Enterprise architecture philosophy, approach, and methodology
  • Selling skills (influence, communication, facilitation, story-telling)
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
