We are looking for a Procurement Manager - Supplier Sustainability & Climate Initiatives (M/F/D) to maximize value creation through the development and deployment of the Procurement’s Sustainability strategy across the entire CHF 4 billion Direct and Indirect spend globally.



Responsibilities

  • Drive the further the development, execution, and delivery of Clariant’s Procurement Sustainability Roadmap
  • Contribute to the delivery of the of Clariant’s commitment towards Together for Sustainability (TfS)
  • Represent Clariant at industry bodies and working groups geared to sustainability
  • Coordinate and ensure the delivery of joint Business Unit targets (eg. min % spend coverage and max % spend with risk suppliers)
  • Screen and on-board new Sustainability service providers across entire end-to-end supply chain
  • Develop and implement communication concept for internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate, consolidate, and share Clariant’s Procurement sustainability activities through internal and external communications
  • Identify and develop new business models to increase Sustainability value creation and brand building
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable sustainability laws, regulations, products, programs, and best practices, sharing new developments and best practices
  • Collaborate with Corporate Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs in the further definition of sustainability strategy and targets
  • Functionally lead sustainability team for Procurement around the globe

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration or Procurement (or similar) combined with knowledge of the chemical or processing industry
  • Experience with sustainability steering of renewable-based raw materials and supply chains will be of advantage
  • Multiple years of experience in a global business environment
  • Proficient in SAP, e-Procurement Tools and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills fluent in English with other languages beneficial
  • Experience of tools such and Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma.
  • An inate hunger for improvement both personal and departmental
  • Proven negotiation skills in highly technical environments
