The Role
Within our Animal Nutrition division in Rolle, Switzerland, you will be responsible for the Production Scheduling for the supply from subcontractors. As a Production Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and facilitating the timely delivery of raw materials, production and delivery of products. You will collaborate with various departments, including production, procurement, demand and logistics, to create and maintain effective product availability that align with the company’s objectives.
Strategic Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules (1-13 weeks horizon) for products in accordance to customer demand and available capacity.
  • Create, maintain and update all transactional and executional needs in the ERP system, according to planning as: Work orders, Distribution orders, Purchase orders, Transportation orders, labels, and others.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
  • Coordinate with the production team to balance workload and capacity, ensuring efficient production flow.
  • Coordinate with the demand and supply planner to ensure the correct level of stocks, targets, and lead times, ensuring correct fulfillment of the demand.
  • Plan weekly the packing and labelling which will be perform in close collaboration with customer demand and co-manufacturer’s team; it includes the re-labelling activities when it’s required.
  • Coordinate with quality team to ensure the high-quality delivery to our customers.
  • Plan replenishment across the Distribution Centre network (Plants & Components) by maintaining the accuracy of replenishment plans.
  • Conduct regular business and performance reviews with, Factory Managers, Fulfillment planners at plant, Demand and Supply planner, and Customer Service Team.
  • Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs (finished goods and raw materials).
  • Review short-term out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Support Demand and Supply Planner to define and maintain the level of stock to secure good customer service at the right cost.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and perform define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence.
Your Profile
  • Minimum 1-3 years as Production Scheduler.
  • University degree, preferably Engineering.
  • Organizational influencing through effective communication.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Teamwork, interpersonal savvy, builds and maintains professional and effective collaboration with peers.

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
Hard skills
  • Previous experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and their integration with production scheduling.
  • Previous experience using Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software to develop production schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Comfortable and highly skills at data analysis, knowing how to manipulate complex data and provide meaningful information.
  • Knowledge of programming languages , such as Python, to automate scheduling processes, will be a plus.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application in production scheduling.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing routings.
  • Good level in English (German or French are optional).
