The AO Education Institutesupports the AO and its Clinical Divisions to further develop and to transform medical education for our communities. Publishing and Faculty Support Media provides proofreading, graphic design, medical illustration, and print production services to develop AO Foundation’s diverse range of medical books, journals, and course materials/presentations.

For maternity replacement in our highly motivated international team at our office in Dübendorf,we are searching for a self-driven and proactive team player with clear communication and relationship building skills to take on the role of

Project Coordinator Faculty Support Media (50%), temporary position until November 2022

In this role you will be required to

  • Provide administrative support for various projects (eg, reference checking, contracts, PowerPoint templating, Word styling) in collaboration with project managers and curriculum developers
  • Apply standard AO brand templates (eg. PowerPoint) to presentations and course materials
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external service providers (eg, medical illustrators, graphic designers, IT service and logistics providers)
  • Support the development and distribution of course materials through an online content management system based on Cumulus
  • Process incoming requests and inquiries through a generic email inbox
  • Fulfill orders for books, posters, brochures, and other hardcopy materials with our external storage and logistics provider

In order to be successful in this role, you must have

  • Higher education in health sciences and/or writing and publishing
  • One to two years practical work experience in a similar role
  • Experience with online content management and distribution systems
  • Strong organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach to folder structures, processes, and workflows
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a global multi-cultural environment­
  • Proven service orientation
