Within the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) Commercial Operations & Strategy Organization, the Regional Data and Analytics Lead will be accountable for leading strategic business transformation by driving Data and Analytics (D&A) for EEMEA as a key priority for the region with the focus on data, leveraging data, and transforming data into a strategic asset that drives insights-driven business decisions. Possessing strong collaborative and change management skills to further drive our D&A transformation throughout the region and markets. This role will require close collaboration and partnership with the Human Health (HH) International Commercial Operations team, Human Health Insights, Analytics, and Data (HHIAD), regional Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and country teams. The role may be based in a European or an EEMEA market within plus or minus two hours of Central European Time Zone.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy and Innovation:

  • Work with commercial leads and cross functional teams in the region, marketing directors and business unit directors to define and translate objectives and business questions into analytical problems and business questions.

  • Work with the HHIT, D&A, and HHIAD teams on translation the business questions into advanced and scalable analytical solutions and use cases that produce actionable insights.

  • Own the pipeline of data and analytics use cases across the region, providing clarity and support on what is tackled by the region teams, the local teams and recommend prioritization and resource allocation across the use case streams within EEMEA.

  • Own the deployment of the Omnichannel dashboard and GAIN dashboards for EEMEA and EEMEA-markets as aligned with the above-region Centralized Marketing Operations strategy.

  • Establishes and monitors use case value delivery and KPIs, and reviews performance regularly with key stakeholders.

  • Define project priorities, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution of analytics initiatives.

Data Management and Integration:

  • Develop and implement data management strategies, including data governance, data quality, and data integration, to ensure accurate and reliable data.

  • Oversee the collection, cleansing and integration of data from multiple sources to create a comprehensive and unified data ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, data models and data architecture to support analytics initiatives.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Lead and conduct advanced data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business outcomes.

  • Apply statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to derive insights from large datasets.

  • Provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on data insights.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including regional executives, business leaders, and functional teams, to understand their data needs and align analytics initiatives with business objectives.

  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

  • Build strong relationships with regional teams to support their data and analytics requirements and enable data-driven decision making.

  • Lead the change and coach commercial teams across region and local to help drive adoption of ‘data-driven’ capabilities working with the Learning and Development team.

  • Lead outside-in perspective to understand the interplay across the healthcare ecosystem in EEMEA and how data can help drive improvement in patient outcomes and customer experience.

  • Build the D&A communities via a monthly engagement forum to accelerate feedback, learning, and sharing.

  • Deploy region-wide training programs and tools to strengthen and develop local capabilities for D&A

  • Coordinating support of subject matter experts from region and global as needed to support countries capabilities development.

  • Shares best practices and lessons learned with global functions and across the region and ensures appropriate deployment of use cases in support of growth objectives.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Lead regional governance to ensure alignment and resource allocation for DNA initiatives and use cases.

  • Be the “voice of the business” in DNA forums to ensure constant link with business needs.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, privacy laws and industry standards in data management and analytics activities.

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of data.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any data-related legal and ethical considerations.

Data Partnerships:

  • When necessary, explore strategic external data partnerships to enhance data capabilities and fill data gaps within the region.

Market Research:

  • Work closely with regional CMOs and Commercial Operations Director (COD) on market research needs and coordinate closely with procurement and compliance to ensure research project execution.

  • Leverage market research data to enhance our business insights.

  • Assess and suggest any improvement in the market research process.

The role includes approximately 15% travel within Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Profile

  • Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, IT, MBA , or equivalent commercial experience and discipline.

  • Extensive experience (healthcare preferred) with relevant working knowledge delivering actionable analytical insights that drive positive business results.

  • Strategic business acumen and knowledge of commercial and marketing approaches in pharma, understanding and application of relevant policies, compliance, operations and change management is preferred.

  • Previous cross-country and international experience project implementation experience.

  • Management of complex projects with global, regional, and market stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of analytical methods, statistical models and tools and hypothesis building.

  • Capability to communicate and collaborate across business and technical teams, with the empathy and sensitivity for data maturity differences and can rally teams to action and outcomes.

  • Strong project and people management skills to execute complex initiatives in a matrix structure and the capability to get things done in an ethical and compliant way.

  • Deep understanding of EEMEA markets preferred.

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

  • Achieving results without direct line authority, energize and motivate a team to follow their direction.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and be solution oriented.

  • Ability to motivate key stakeholders from different teams to work towards the same goal.

  • Change management experience.

  • Have hands on experience with some data base management and/or business intelligence tools like SQL, SAS, R, Python and development experience in tools like Power BI, Spotfire, Qlik, Tableau.
