On behalf of our client, one of the leading insurance companies in Switzerland, Swisslinx is currently looking for a SAP BW / B4HANA Consultant based in Zurich.
This is a 9-month contracting role with the potential to extend.

Due to visa restrictions, we can only consider EU or Swiss passport holders.


Your mission

  • Liaise with stakeholders to define business requirements
  • Prepare business documentation based on the company’s frameworks
  • Work closely with IT to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Understand and challenge the technical solutions • Conduct user acceptance tests •
  • Project and activity planning
  • Access the impact of the IFRS 17 activities on the current and future landscape and take further actions
  • Communicate change requests, timelines and provide status updates to the IFRS 17 program work stream

Your background

  • SAP BW knowledge/projects
  • Strong SAP design knowledge in area of responsibility combined with good business skills
  • Finance background
  • Ability to understand business requirements (focus on financial accounting or controlling and/or reporting) and translate these into technical specifications
  • Ability to define functional specifications and test the corresponding solutions
  • Ability to discuss and challenge key business and technical design topics
  • Ability to deliver solutions based on existing design principles and frameworks
  • Experienced in analyzing reporting requirements and defining functional and technical specifications
  • Being able to work with limited supervision
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills

Nice to Haves

  • Insurance industry experience in the area of Financial Accounting and/or Controlling
  • IFRS 17 project experience
  • Experienced in the management of project activities (definition, tracking and follow up of activities)
  • Familiar with testing activities
  • Familiar and experienced in the preparation and delivery of end-user trainings
  • Familiar with cutover activities
