We’re looking for a Securities Specialist to:
  • monitor settlement transaction to ensure timely settlement incl. pre-matching and cancel and rebook transactions
  • place manual settlement and / or transfer instructions, affirm broker confirmations and handle broker enquiries
  • systematically chase and resolve pending transfers/ settlements, differences and breaks (cash and security)
  • administrate our securities settlement static data and standard settlement instructions (SSI) reference table
  • manage our offshore unit (monitoring, enquiries, etc.)
  • collaborate with interface partners as part of efficiency improvements and improve processes continuously

Your team

You’ll be working in the Order Room Settlements team in Opfikon, which is responsible for client side settlements for UBS Switzerland AG. This comprises pre-matching assistance, realignments, settlement monitoring, settlement fails management inclusive fails reporting. Investigating cash and securities are additional tasks. Through continuous process control and improvement a high quality standard and high productivity is ensured.

Your expertise

  • good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
  • flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
  • commercial background (with banking experience, ideally)
  • interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
  • structured work style, confident working autonomously
  • autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
  • ability to stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
  • excellent English (written and oral), German would be an asset
