Learn more at elastic.co.The Endpoint Security team is looking for a software engineer to join a new team focused on monitoring and securing Linux-based cloud and container environments. If you have experience using the latest Linux tech (e.g. eBPF) to collect activity occurring in containers and/or secure containers, please apply. As a part of the Endpoint Security team, you’ll work with former intelligence community and seasoned security industry engineers with extensive security expertise. Whether or not you have a background in security, if you love the cloud, live for the Linux kernel, and obsess over writing high performance code, we’d be thrilled for you to join our team.
Tech Stack:
- C/C++, Python, x86/x64 assembly
- gdb, gcc, clang
- eBPF, kprobes
- Linux kernel-level development and user space, system level APIs
- Git/Github, Jenkins
- Work with team members to agree on a realistic and achievable roadmap
- Design and develop robust kernel- and/or system-level code that collects data with minimal impact on system performance
- Write, code review, and unit test code in a multi-threaded application
- Help design functional and performance testing methodologies to make sure they mimic the real world
- Work with our platform team to rapidly integrate new features end-to-end
- Communicate and document new features with team members and quality assurance engineers.
- Recent experience developing a product that monitors cloud and container environments
- 10+ years software engineering experience in C/C++
- Experience debugging customer issues
- Empathy for your peers and your product’s end users
