VirtaMed believes medical education is powerfully delivered through data-driven simulation solutions. Since 2007, we have developed the leading solutions for training outside the operating room because we believe healthcare professionals should never have to perform a procedure for the first time on a patient.
In order to strengthen our Finance Team, we are looking for a “ Senior Accounting Specialist ” with a passion for figures, processes, and a good sense for improvements. This position is open for an immediate start.
Your Work
You ensure that all financial transactions are executed on time and correctly. Day-to-day accounting of transactions including:

  • Financial accounting and sparring partner to team members responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable (MS Business Central)
  • Transactions reconciliation
  • Reconciliation and oversight for VAT
  • Review to ensure compliance with required documentation, computations, codes, signatures, and rules/regulations
  • Cost review and support for cost owners
  • Monitor balances and report discrepancies
  • Actively manage and coordinate activities with other accountants
  • Monitor accruals and provision on Balance Sheet
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliation
  • Actively contribute ongoing finance projects
  • Liaise with external parties (e.g. auditor)
  • Contribute to our efforts to grow and scale our company by improving processes, providing input to ERP configuration, and leverage external resources

Your Profile
Applicants must have education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting (Fachausweis) – or – possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Management or related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in financial and cost accounting, ideally in an industrial company
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in creating financial reports which includes combining and presenting financial data from multiple sources in an organized format
  • Experience in using an ERP system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data as well as good working experience with MS Office programs (mainly Excel)
  • Interested in continued education and keeping abreast of accounting rule changes
