Our ambition is to play an active role in the energy transition by increasing the installed capacity of flexible and environmentally friendly power generation in Europe. Alpiq is looking for a Senior Business Developer Flexibility to join our dynamic and international team focused on development and construction of flexible power generation solutions. This position will be located in Switzerland and reports to our Head Development & Projects.



Your main tasks

  • Strategic assessment and valuation of flexibility opportunities and successfully managing them through the business development process
  • Coordinate and manage all the project development activities and working closely with the country organizations within Alpiq
  • Monitoring projects and managing stakeholders
  • Developing a network to identify new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Analysing M&A opportunities
  • Promoting Alpiq flexibility activities and projects in public forums


Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Engineering / Finance or Economics and ideally a postgraduate formation in business administration or finance
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the energy sector in a business development / strategy / consulting role
  • Solid finance and business development skills, keen eye for opportunities, good intuition, and ability to create and demonstrate value
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, ability to motivate others and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Good negotiation skills
  • English/German/French: professional proficiency level
  • Willing to travel frequently
