Senior Director, Finance & Operations, Switzerland

The position
As a Senior Director for Finance & Operations (F&O), you will act as the strategic finance partner to the Swiss leadership team where you will drive and implement the strategic direction for Novo Nordisk Switzerland. Together with your team, you will drive key change projects for the organisation and as a business partner lead Business Finance, Digital, Data & IT, Procurement, Supply Chain and Customer Service

You will report directly to the General Manager and manage a team of five direct reports, three of which in the Business Finance team, the DD&IT Manager and Sr. Commercial Operations manager as well as a Supply Chain manager and Procurement manager in dotted line.

You will be a member of NN Switzerland Leadership Team, Region North West Europe F&O Leadership Team, co-driving to different regional projects.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Being a trusted business partner and sparring partner, ensuring proactive follow-up on performance based on solid analysis and insights.
  • Planning, optimizing, and facilitating the financial planning processes, ensuring high-quality annual budgets and rolling estimates.
  • Effective resource allocation to strategic priorities as well as dynamic resource reallocation to cater to the dynamic market environment.
  • Leading the S&OP Committee and ensuring proactive management of supply/demand balances, quotas, and effective communication to the commercial functions.
  • Leading the digital, data, and IT agenda in and for the Swiss affiliate while ensuring continuous development of the commercial IT ecosystem as well as data and insights ecosystem in alignment with the business needs.
  • Overseeing the procurement area, front key RFPs and negotiations as well as ensuring a solid procurement mindset in the organization.

Qualifications

Furthermore, you would have
  • A master’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in finance and operations, preferably in a global organization.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience managing a team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Novo Nordisk Pharma AG is the Swiss Affiliate, with around 100 employees, dedicated to making a remarkable difference to patients across the country. Located at the Circle, Zurich Airport. The Swiss Affiliate belongs to Region North West Europe, which is part of IO (International Operations).
