The Senior Director Strategy & Commercial shapes the solutions and integrated value offering of tomorrow and develops, executes strategic initiatives across business units and ensures a holistic value based approach towards the strategic accounts on a OneMD level. Moreover this leader is in charge of leading the transformation of our current Medical Devices organization towards a Med Tech company mastering the digital ecosystem ensuring we are measured on value and not only price.

This leader will be responsible for defining and implementing the Go to Market strategy and governance process across the Commercial Strategic Account, Service and Solutions Leadership matrix enabling the delivery of our Medical Devices business plan. It includes shaping the external environment and drive the readiness for VBHC in the Swiss Healthcare system.

As new technologies and models are emerging, it will be pivotal for that leader to bring our entire Strategic Capabilities and Digital team up to speed and identify & develop the required set of skills and integrate the digitalization pillar in the value based approach. The position reports into the Country Lead MD Switzerland and is member of the Swiss MD board.

Responsabilities
  • Lead the design and execution of the local Medical Devices strategy in collaboration with franchises and alignment with regional stakeholders to transform customer relations from a transactional to a value-based long-term partnership approach.
  • Use market insights to create new commercial models and innovative solutions that optimize stakeholder value, integrate process vertically and drive growth
  • Lead to enhance commercial effectiveness through strong governance, effective business processes, transparent communication, and establishing consistent terminology and approaches across multiple franchises digitally enabled
  • Shape the external environment by leveraging deep customer insights & relationships with key accounts, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (including the C-Suite) and use the network to drive strategic agenda
  • Drive and shape the leading, digitally enabled Value Based Healthcare transformation- including digital customer engagement and dissemination strategy for publication of case reports.
  • Provide transformational leadership through effective organizational design, change management, focused talent selection and new capabilities building.
  • Lead Service & Solutions, Execution Excellence, strategic Account Management, Strategic Pricing, Communication and Business Intelligence teams and strong collaboration with functions such as legal, Finance, HR, HCC & HEMA.
  • Create a Credo aligned culture, ensuring Health Care Compliance and integrity principles are championed and actively practiced at every level of the organisation.
  • Scouting and evaluation of external new partners to accelerate or enable the MD VBHC strategy

Qualifications
  • Experienced leader with demonstrated track record in achieving results, execution and in leading transformation.
  • Strong business and financial acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Experience in commercial activities incl. Sales and large negotiations.
  • Knowledge of economic environment and market dynamics of healthcare market (preferably Swiss healthcare market)
  • Experience in actively shaping market environment and driving quality driven holistic partnership models
  • Strong customer and external environment orientation.
  • Track record of developing and executing value-generating solutions.
  • Unquestioned ethics, integrity and Credo-based leadership.
  • Track record of establishing and championing a culture of Health Care Compliance.
  • Strong organizational leadership, with ability to inspire and mobilize a large organization through periods of continuous change, complex business environments and transformation.
  • Demonstrated enterprise mindset, with ability to influence and collaborate in matrixed environment to achieve business objectives
  • Strong learning agility.
  • English and German or French, written and verbally essential.
