Senior Field Service Technician (m/w/d) – 100%

Our client is a multinational company and leading global provider of high-quality equipment and Life Science solutions for the biomedical research.

For the branch located in Zurich we are looking for an experienced Service Technician that will support clients mainly in the German speaking part of Switzerland.

Your tasks

In this position you will be responsible for traveling to customers’ locations or remotely accessing equipment to perform routine maintenance. Moreover, you will:

• Answer telephone inquiries, assist clients and provide service and customer support during field visits, building positive relationships
• Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks and provide instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product, comprehending their requirements and making appropriate recommendations
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluating the available information to determine proper solutions
• Fix defective or broken products or order the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out equipment
• Document processes and produce timely and detailed service reports, complying with the company’s procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization to offer the best services to the clients

Your profile

To be successful in this position you offer a technical degree or certification in Mechanics or Electronics. You also bring with you:

• At least 4 years of experience in a Field Service Technician position
• Experience in life science/plant engineering/automation/sterilization/decontamination is required
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, test and repair technical equipment based on customers’ non-technical descriptions
• Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to changing work schedules
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Excellent English knowledge; German is a strong plus; additional languages are an advantage
