As a Senior GNSS Software Engineer for Navigationyou are responsible for the software development of u-blox’s next generation of navigation devices. Your experience in low level software development and your deep understanding of navigation algorithms helps to tackle the increased challenges in developing robust positioning solutions.

In this role you will join a small team of enthusiastic engineers distributed across Europe who bring together expertise and knowledge from all of the company to deliver reliable GNSS software for the next generation of u-blox’s innovative and competitive navigation systems.

This role can be located in Thalwil / Switzerland or Tampere / Finland.

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing new technical concepts, evaluating their feasibility, deriving specifications and implementing navigation features of a GNSS receiver.
  • Leading role in definition and verification phase of new features
  • Taking part in the complete development process which includes design, implementation and verification of embedded receiver firmware
  • Providing analysis and workarounds or fixes for bugs and nonconformities
  • Being an active member of an Agile software development team

Your Skills and Experience

  • Master or PhD in Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Geodesy or Applied Mathematics
  • Sound knowledge of GNSS technology
  • Good understanding of related technologies such as statistics, estimation theory, Kalman filtering
  • Solid track record in software development
  • Programming in C, Python
  • Debugging
  • Version control software, continuous integration
  • Good communication skills in English
