As a successful candidate you will join the new Data and Integration team.

On behalf of our client, one of the leading insurance companies in Switzerland, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Senior Java Cloud Engineer based in Zurich.
This is a contracting role until end of December 2022 with the potential to extend.

Due to visa restrictions, we can only consider EU or Swiss passport holders.

Your mission

  • End-to-end responsibility for sourcing and integrating data from P&C systems,
transforming it and making it understandable and accessible.
  • Regaining control over the decentralized integration approach with Talend (ESB) which
resulted in a fragmentation in the solution stacks with Skye, InfoSwiss, Allegro, etc.
  • Having a direct and single contact for our business and being collection/coordination
point for business requirements.
  • Call for consolidation, standardization and transformation

Your background

  • 8-10 years of experience as a Java Developer
  • MS Azure Cloud (API Manager/Azure Function/ Components EventHub/Grid/LogicAPP)
  • Mongo DB & Mongo Realm Knowhow for Application Development (To build Collections)
  • GraphQL
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins Pipelines
  • Microsoft Cognitive Services
  • Apache Maven, WebLogic
  • Agile development (SCRUM way of working/AzureDevOps/Jira/Confluence are known)
  • experience across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, including design, modelling, coding and testing and a focus on Cloud Technologies.
  • Soft skills as communication skills (as an IT talking Business language), teamwork/team
player
  • English is a must

Nice to Haves

  • Education and qualifications (Cloud Engineer, API Professional Designer, Cloud Applications Professional, Azure Cognitive Services for Developers)
  • AWS ECR, Lambda (MultiCloud Strategy)
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Agile development: SAFe
  • German is a nice to have
