Major Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Global Technical Operations, will be responsible for driving New Product Introductions, Lifecycle Management, and effective governance within one of Biosurgery’s product platforms.

The Senior Manager will represent Supply Chain Organization in the development and commercialization activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects, and the integration of New Products into Manufacturing and driving lifecycle management, sustaining activities and other operations responsibilities. They will partner with Marketing, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain teams to develop strategies to achieve business objectives and provide governance through effective prioritization and allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.

Scope Of Responsibilities
  • Lead a cross-functional product team, focus on the end-to-end alignment of product life cycle programs and NPI programs with the overall business objectives for one of Biosurgery’s platform products
  • Provide global operations leadership to assigned new product development projects
  • Develop operations strategy, assemble team and development/execution of operations project plan through hand-off to the manufacturing site
  • Sponsor smaller NPD or Lifecycle projects to successful resolution, providing guidance and support to project teams
  • Build strong cross-functional teams, providing feedback and coaching to team members
  • Follow defined processes & procedures related to new product development and life cycle management to ensure compliance and meet business deliverables
  • Identify gaps in existing business processes and drive improvement activities to close them

Education

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University Degree required, focused degree in an Engineering or Science field preferred. Master’s degree/ MBA preferred.

Required

Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a business or technical role
  • Experience working in the healthcare or other regulated industry
  • Ability to develop people, manage technology, embrace financial goals, and utilize customer-focused decision making
  • Change management, project management, the ability to work effectively and drive alignment in a global environment through strong communication and empowerment
  • Strong communication and management influence skills
  • Project Management Mastery (5-years of several significant project management experience required.)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in building business strategies and driving strategy implementation

Preferred
  • Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and/or Biologics experience. People management/leadership experience
  • Experience leading medical device New Product Development teams
  • Six Sigma/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification

Other
  • Requires up to 25% domestic & international travel
  • Position will be preferably based in Raritan, NJ, consideration to other J&J sites in the East Coast as well as EMEA will be considered
  • Proficiency in the English language (speak, read, write) is required
