We are looking for a Senior Strategic Finance manager to join Novo Nordisk International Operations (IO) Strategic Operations based in Zurich, Switzerland. This position is a way into a dynamic environment and a world of opportunities.The Senior Strategic Finance manager reports to the Senior Director Strategic Finance and will join a diverse team of passionate peers anchored within the greater department of Finance & Operations encompassing Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement and Digital, Data & IT.If you think this could be for you, keep reading.The PositionIO Strategic Finance is primarily responsible to deliver synthetic and actionable insights towards senior management as well as scoping and supporting the rollout of the global finance strategy across International Operations. Within our team, we promote transparency, courage and authenticity, always keeping in mind that great ideas are only relevant if followed by strong execution.The Senior Strategic Finance manager will be responsible for a variety of activities, such as:
  • Driving the resource allocation agenda across International Operations supporting our growth journey.
  • Contributing to the mid/long-term financial forecast including modelling assumptions and aligning with functional heads.
  • Acting as a sparring partner in due-diligence processes related to business development activities.
  • Designing and rollout of metrics and KPIs providing a better understanding of our Financial & Operational performance.
  • Aligning strategic finance needs with developments done across digital functions, particularly with HQ BI team.
  • Supporting senior management in ad-hoc analysis & presentations (incl. “what if?” and “Scenario analysis”).
  • Leading key projects and supporting the rollout of our financial strategy.
  • Developing synthetic overviews to unlock new insights and facilitate decision making.

  • You are self-driven with a natural curiosity and strong business acumen (pharma background preferred but not mandatory)
  • You have the ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through a complex stakeholder network.
  • You possess strong data modelling and visualisation skills.
  • You have the ability to jump forth and back between helicopter view and details, never loosing track of the big picture.
  • You are direct, concise, and you demonstrate impactful communication skills (verbal and written) focusing on what matters.
  • You challenge the status quo and proactively come-up with creative solutions.
