The Travel Partner Group Analytics and Data Science team is passionate about influencing, recommending, and supporting Expedia Group’s supply executive leadership teams in global and regional pivotal initiatives. Your passion for up-leveling data and insights is defined as a critical strategy for the team!

As a Senior Operations Business Analyst, you will be responsible for building data visualizations, reporting on trends and performing analysis to provide insights and recommendations on our trading and operational health touching thousands of partners and millions of travelers every month. You will be working closely with Account Management Leadership, Supply Analytics, Strategy, Retail, and Product stakeholders to provide feedback, improve our reporting/dashboards and user experience to enable sound decision making.

What You’ll Do
  • You’ll be the main point of contact for all reporting touching our daily operations in Activities and Ground Transportation
  • Maintain, consolidate, and enrich current reports/dashboards to visualize data analysis and insights
  • Support ongoing needs for operational reporting, and day-to-day needs that impact our Account Management teams, our partners and travelers
  • Support data migrations, which translates to moving reports from one tool (e.g. Qlickview) to another (e.g. Tableau/Looker), updating links, and ratifying and consolidating existing reports
  • Helping to identify, prioritize, and drive operational improvements
  • Frame business challenges as an analytics problem and concrete set of analytical tasks
  • Connect with and influence stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Manage stakeholders with frequent communication, expectation management, meeting deadlines and the backlog
  • Extract data from multiple data sources and combine them into the required datasets for operational reporting
Who You Are
  • Keen problem-solver exhibiting intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and focus on generating impactful business insights
  • Interest in building business knowledge in hospitality industry
  • Able to write functional SQL queries
  • Familiar with creating data visualizations and comfortable working in programs like Tableau
  • Statistics familiarity or background
  • Background in R, Python or equivalents is a strong plus
  • Can-do attitude and self-motivation. Passionate about the outcome, can work independently and within a team
  • Good communicator, capable of translating technical language into business terms
  • Open to coaching on new techniques and technologies. Passion to share knowledge with our growing analytics community
