You will join small and dynamic IATA Training team responsible for product design, development, and delivery. For over 50 years, our training products have been helping businesses operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably, building career opportunities for the people they employ. While ensuring constant innovation and enhancement in accordance with aviation industry needs, team is also responsible for implementing the latest learning principles across all training delivery formats supporting human performance across all functional levels.

You will have overall responsibility for the full lifecycle of the portfolio management, ensuring that the content remains relevant, offering attractive for the marketplace while meeting departmental commercial targets.

You will report to the Head, Products IATA Training.

What Your Day Would Be Like

The core responsibility of the role is executing strategic business plans for the Cargo and Logistics Training portfolio and to manage product innovation and product development related activities.

To be successful in your role, besides having experience in developing and delivering training, your resume must have a proven track record working in at least one area: cargo operations / cargo acceptance/ cargo sales / airport ramp and ground handling / cargo export-import / cargo logistics.

Key management functions include: (1) learner experience design, (2) management of training course schedule, (3) recruitment and performance management of IATA learning facilitators, (4) management of training course pricing, (5) management of the training portfolio budget (budget planning, forecasting, meeting of revenue and operating result targets).

On regular basis you will be working with IATA subject matter experts on content updates and new product ideas in line with industry needs, converting the latest industry standards and publications into relevant training products.

As part of the role, you will have full ownership of product management lifecycle from identification of industry needs, concept definition and market size estimation, to execution of product go-to market, including scheduling, pricing and facilitator quality assurance.

You will play a key role in building new industry and academia partnerships, bundling training courses into diploma programs and other revenue opportunities ensuring the latest adult learning principles are reflected in all training products.

You will work with different stakeholders, maintaining and developing faculty membership worldwide, through careful selection, recruitment and performance management of external facilitators and subject matter experts.

Quality assurance is another key component of the role, and you will have the opportunity to oversee the product delivery process, ensuring IATA Training provides high quality courses in accordance with the Standards defined by the IATA Design & Quality team.

On a daily basis, you will be working with training coordinators to ensure smooth and timely delivery of all training courses and disbursement and receipt of all payments associated with course delivery.

On a daily basis, you will engage with IATA marketing and sales managers on sales lead pipeline growth and participate in customer meetings.

On a need basis, you will conduct competitor benchmarking, prepare business cases studies, blog articles, conduct financial and commercial analysis of performance of the products in your portfolio.

We would love to hear from you if

• You have a proven track record working in at least one area : cargo operations / cargo acceptance/ cargo sales / airport ramp and ground handling / cargo export-import / cargo logistics
• Good understanding of the Cargo and Supply Chain Industry
• At least 5-7 years of experience in product management and/or business development
• Experience in developing training material based on adult learning principles; Professional certification in adult learning would be an asset
• Experience in budgetary processes and financial projections
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Office suit
• Understanding and experience of project management methodology and the ability to apply it to daily tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of other languages would be an asset
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills with ability to transmit messages effectively and concisely
