As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities►The definition, under the Head of Aircraft Integration supervision, of the aircraft level requirements, the coordination and the management of technical integration on the aircraft system►The end-to-end technical oversight of the assigned project►Develop and perform design and/or technical reviews►Provide technical coordination across the multi-disciplinary design and testing teams►Manage the required interfaces among the design departments►Support the engineering technical areas for the definition, review and approval of design solutions and changes, verifying the compatibility of the change with the product structure►Support the development of technical and product road-maps►Cooperate with airworthiness / certification coordinators to the definition and execution of a correct and consistent Certification Programme►Support the prototype and production configuration changes implementation and embodiment►The Senior Project Engineer is also a deputy to Head of Aircraft IntegrationYour Qualifications & Experience►Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical or Avionics►Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer, Technical Project Manager or other technical coordinating role in the aerospace industry►More than 5 years’ experience in design, development, testing, certification of rotary or fixed wing aircraft and coordination►Ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional team, technical requirements internally and with suppliers, customers and authorities►Strong initiative to coordinate a project through technical, cost and schedule issues►Extensive EASA Part-21J, DOA processes and CS 27/29 knowledge►English: verbal and written minimum B2Our offerWe are offering an exciting job opportunity in an entrepreneurial environment with room to grow in every dimension.Your next stepIf you are interested, please submit your complete application documents in English including the following attachments:– Cover letter– CV– Diplomas– Employment referencesPlease note, that this job is only open to candidates holding a valid Swiss Working Permit/ EU Nationals/ Swiss Nationals.Department of Engineering located in CH-8620 WetzikonTo apply for this job please please complete the following form .
