As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your Responsibilities

The scope of the Senior Project Manager will be within the Governance Team Avionic and Electrical System, as well as Main Structures. His/Her main tasks will be:

►To ensure that the planning of the deliverables for these Engineering areas are available, will be met, and will comply with Integrated planning requirement (Level 2 and level 3)

►Maintain the inputs from these areas into the Engineering master planning

►Coordinate the execution of testing required by these Engineering areas with Production, Component testings, and Flight testings

►Ensure a close collaboration for all the built to specification items with Procurement and the suppliers to ensure the development plan of the suppliers meets the requirements of the integrated planning

►Ensure the budget follow-up of these Engineering areas

Your Qualifications

►Bachelor or Masters degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

►Minimum of 10 years relevant Aerospace design and development experience

►Minimum Of 5 Years Of Project Management Experience

►Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

►Aircraft or helicopter certification experience (CS 23/25/27/29)

►Ability to work under pressure with a good sense of urgency

►English – verbal and written at minimum B2 level
