As a Senior Project Manager, you are at the core of our business: building milling plants for our customers. You will be leading a project team, including a wide range of different stakeholders. It will be in your hands to deliver important projects within the negotiated framework requirements always keeping an optimal margin in sight.

Tasks
  • Manage the project team to keep costs, schedule, quality as well as EHS targets aligned
  • Own the responsibility for the entire project delivery incl. safety-relevant aspects
  • Apply appropriate analysis of risk, opportunity and deviation management
  • Assess, approve and expedite technical change requests
  • Define effective claim strategies with regards to customers, partners, subcontractors, etc.
  • Prepare, execute and report project reviews according to Bühler Standards
  • Maintain professional liaison with customers, partners and main subcontractors
  • Ensure unobstructed roll-out of projects as well as solution-oriented problem solving
  • Establish and maintain operating standards to uphold quality and customer satisfaction
  • Summon best practice, apply lessons learned as a ‘return-of- experience’
  • Support and coach the project team, provide on-the-job training

Required Qualifications
  • FH or HF degree in the engineering field; mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or automation
  • Solid knowledge of business administration and project management
  • Commercial and methodological know-how of risk and opportunity assessment
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in large project management
  • Proven skills in plant projects in an international environment
  • Strong planning and organizational skills as well as sound judgement
  • Comfortable to work in a matrix organization on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven record of successful negotiating and decision-making
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Open to international travel of approx. 10 - 20%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced education in project management (PMI, IMPA certification)
  • Open to acquire a sound and technical understanding of Bühler machinery and equipment
  • Additional language skills, e.g., French or Spanish
