As a Senior Specialist FoodPolymericfilms and Coatings, you will develop polymeric coatings for high barrier recyclable paper, plastic monomaterial with POs content >95%. In this position you will understand monomaterial recycling context, define strategy for increased bio-sourced materials and scout new startup for innovative concepts around polymeric coatings and plastic films.

A day in the life of a Senior Specialist Food polymeric films and Coatings

  • Drive all scientific aspects of plastic and coating materials for deposition on paper or plastic (dispersion, extrusion and lamination)
  • Anticipate and if required act on new waste management technologies risks and opportunities (chemical recycling...)
  • Deliver proprietary solutions and be recognized as an expert

What Will Make You Successful
  • PhD in chemistry or polymer science
  • At least 5 years work experience in the field of formulating polymeric films and coatings
  • Experience in working in a research environment, ideally within project teams
  • Experience in establishing technical dossiers and specifications for packaging materials
  • Knowledge of the material / packaging suppliers / converters landscape
  • Strong interest and commitment for the environment & consumer safety
  • Fluent in English
