The Commercial Operations team in Human Health International is a critically important organisation in help helping subsidiaries drive tangible impact for all of our customers (e.g., Key Accounts, Prescribers, Patients, Channel Partners) and ultimately delivering sustainable top and bottom line performance. We do this through:

  • Enabling markets in how they deliver the most effective customer and stakeholder experience in the most efficient way
  • Ensuring ongoing productivity and deliver optimal customer service through strategic management of route-to-customer channels
  • Aligning, prioritizing and pulling through enterprise-level strategy, while integrating voice of the markets in strategy design, Harmonizing, simplifying and scaling best practices across markets

We are currently seeking an Executive Director level Simplification and Harmonization Leadto help ensure we maintain high standards of ethics and integrity across Human Health International, whilst achieving our mission in ensuring access for patients to our medicines and vaccines.

The Simplification and Harmonization Lead sits in International Commercial Operations and reports to the Head of International Commercial Operations.

Job Overview: The Simplification and Harmonization Lead will be responsible for identifying and scaling opportunities for process harmonization and simplification of commercial processes within the international commercial operations department. Acting as the HHI Business Practices point, will be responsible for orchestrating the implementation of harmonized, compliant business policies, and ensuring the effective simplification of relevant business policies and commercial processes. Working with Global Ethics and Compliance, International Legal and other colleagues, they will support the roll-out and implementation of global policies/standards through a strategic approach.

The role will also involve mapping and prioritizing areas of complexity and market needs, defining and implementing simplification solution roadmap, and maintaining regular engagement with markets to review the ongoing effectiveness of simplification solutions as well as be the voice of the markets with our global colleagues.

The Simplification and Harmonization Lead will lead a team of experts and will collaborate with various departments and teams across the organization to ensure compliance, privacy, risk identification, and process assurance controls are in place. Additionally, they will act as the voice of the markets in shaping global policies and standards, support the roll-out and implementation of global policies/standards, and foster a community of practice to provide ongoing support, learning, and development for the business process management community.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and scale opportunities for process harmonization and simplification of commercial processes.
  • Orchestrating the implementation of harmonized, compliant business policies.
  • Map and prioritize areas of complexity and market needs for simplification across business policies and commercial processes.
  • Define and implement a roadmap for simplification solutions, exploring the possibility of leveraging existing or new IT and automation solutions.
  • Maintain regular engagement with markets to monitor ongoing effectiveness and usefulness of simplification solutions.
  • Ensure robust compliance, privacy, risk identification and mitigation, and process assurance controls are in place and regularly reviewed.
  • Act as the voice of the markets in shaping global policies and standards.
  • Support the roll-out and implementation of global policies/standards through a strategic approach.
  • Establish and maintain a community of practice to provide ongoing support, learning, and development for the business process management community.
  • Understand the common needs of the markets to deliver on department goals, maintaining ethics and integrity at all times.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams, including Commercial Operations Directors, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Legal, HH DDA, HH IT, HH International Marketing, and other HH ICO teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in process harmonization and simplification, preferably in a role with cross border responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of business policies, commercial processes, and their interdependencies.
  • Experience in mapping and prioritizing areas of complexity and market needs for simplification.
  • Familiarity with IT and automation solutions for process simplification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with markets and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in compliance, risk identification and mitigation, and process assurance.
  • Knowledge of global policies and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Location: Lucerne preferred, however open to International location

Travel: ~30%
