Software Engineer GNSS Signal Processing

This is an exciting role in one of the core R&D teams of u-blox positioning product center. As a software engineer in GNSS signal processing you shape the future of u-blox cutting edge positioning technologies. With your solid understanding of digital signal processing and programming skill you contribute to the whole feature development that touches millions of lives. In this role, you will work closely with highly talented and motivated engineers in a small international team. If you have real passion for developing clever and computationally efficient algorithms with rigorous mathematical models, and if you are eager to implement FW on a chip to see that everything works as expected under real-world conditions then it’s the right position for you. The role can be in Zurich / Switzerland or in Tampere / Finland.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain GNSS signal processing algorithms and FW Features
  • Design, implement and carry out tests for FW verification
  • Write and present technical documentation
  • Analyze non conformities and develop bug fixes

Skills and Experience

  • MSc in electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science or related areas
  • Detection/estimation and communications theories
  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++, MATLAB, Python etc.
  • Fact based analytical thinking, quality focus and detail focus
  • A good communicator, fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Strong motivation and capability to learn new things
  • Strong willingness and motivation to help each other
  • GNSS background is NOT required

Bonus Point

  • Perl is a plus
  • Ph.D. is a plus
  • Hand-on experience of SDR is a plus
