At Farie, we are on a mission to make it as easy and transparent as possible to buy and sell ???? cars online.

We are one of the few companies to have built an entire, well-oiled business on no-code tools. But now it’s time to switch to code - that’s what we need you for.

Tasks

First, you are responsible for the migration (and improvement!) of our existing no-code features and products to code. During that time you will also implement features and improvements on no-code tools. After the migration is done (probably end of 2023), you will take care of the technical implementation of new features, products and improvements.

You will also;

• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to model and review business requirements
• Mentor and support junior software engineers to help them grow and improve
• Be involved in the architectural design
• Continuously improve processes, standards, and practices to fit the company’s stage of growth
• Support colleagues with technical questions and challenges around our products
• Implement tracking and build dashboards and reports
• Make sure the team knows about your developments
• Contribute to making our product team efficient, effective and fun
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development
• Demonstrated understanding and experience of software fundamentals including software design, algorithms, data structures, modularity, and code maintainability
• Willingness to work full stack
• Fluent in German or English
• [Bonus points for] Fluent in both German and English
• [Bonus points for] Knowledge of the car industry and/or passion for cars
• [Bonus points for] Experience with bubble and Make (formerly Integromat)

Team

• You’ll work in the product team alongside Philipp???? (developer), Pascal???? (chief product officer) and Paul????‍???? (product manager) - check our Instagram, you’ll see us there
• We’re aiming to be 7 people in the product team by the beginning of 2023 (i.e. we want to hire 3 more (no-code)-developers)
• We work in 2-week sprints using scrum
  
  

Tech Stack

• Everything you see on our homepage - and lots more you can’t see - is built on bubble, Make (formerly Integromat) and Webflow
• We have bubble API connectors to our logistics partner Cotra
• We have some javascript connectors on our website
• Jira manages our tasks and Confluence our documentation
• We use the full breadth of the Google Suite
• Google Sheets is used as our data analysis tool currently - but we’re on our way to switching to Mixpanel
• Slack is our internal communications tool
  
  

In 2023 we will start moving the first features and parts of our products to code (we will figure out the tech stack in the coming months). In parallel, we will keep developing with no-code tools. Once the migration to code is complete, we will keep using no-code for experiments and prototypes. Our productive systems will remain on code.
