Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for the Sr. Director, Global Business Process Owner, Deliver at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies. Ideally, this position can be based in either Piscataway, NJ or Titusville, NJ. Other Janssen office locations, including in EMEA, may be considered.

Reporting into the Janssen Supply Chain Deliver organization, this leader will act as a single point of accountability for defining strategy, driving alignment, shaping innovation, and maintaining process blueprint for Janssen Deliver in support of the Janssen TranSCend program. They will be a part of the extended leadership team and design governance councils to ensure operational integration between business operations and program needs.

The role will establish a network of functional experts within their sub-function domain that will lead the business process definition, driving organizational alignment on key decisions, as well as ensuring adoption of those decisions and new business processes. Additionally, the BPO represents the Janssen Deliver area in governance forums (e.g. Global Process Council) to ensure process integrity, drive decisions, act as key change champion, and collaborate with JJT and the Global Product Owner to define, validate, and implement solutions to enable the designed blueprint.

This leader will be an expert within Janssen Deliver and strive to enable, standardize, and innovate core business process definitions to meet critical business needs. This will be enabled by partnering across the key stakeholder groups to gain a deep understanding of as-is business requirements, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and consistent process documentation, through a standardized blueprinting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Janssen Deliver executive leadership to determin priorities and establish overall strategy for the usage of dashboards and metrics as well as improvement methodologies.
  • Act as primary Change Champion with Janssen Deliver organization and leadership forums.
  • Responsible for the Global Business Process Design for Janssen Deliver. Ensure key business processes and capabilities are designed and deployed in an integrated and effective manner within program timelines and scope. Ensure successful adoption of solutions delivered by Janssen TranSCend.
  • Understand, translate, and communicate Janssen Deliver strategies throughout Supply Chain functions (Global, Regional), as required. Ensure alignment with Janssen TranSCend objectives, scope, and timeline.
  • Support Janssen Deliver strategy and execution aspects of annual BP (including CIP’s), Long Range Financial Plan (LRFP), Projects and PMO.
  • Partner with the Global Product Owner to ensure capability design, build, validation, deployment, and steady-state support. Ensure ongoing integrity of global template.
  • Support TranSCend project Janssen Deliver workstream leads, subject matter experts, and product owners to ensure that the projects will have clear acceptance criteria and all solutions will align with the blueprint.
  • Establish common reporting, E2E metrics and drive improvement based on baseline.
  • Collaborate with Deliver leads and other supply chain partners and PMO’s to develop continuous improvement insights and drive continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Drive collaboration across functions to provide solutions that meet customer needs and enable business growth.
  • Exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning in all activities including managing escalation of issues and business risks, developing solutions and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable
  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of Deliver/Customer Logistics business experience
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of business process design, engineering, or optimization experience
  • Strong knowledge of Janssen Supply Chain and Janssen Deliver business processes/requirements is preferred
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, a business process decomposition or blueprint
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with proven ability to influence/collaborate to get to desired result
  • Requires people management and development experience
  • Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of stakeholders
  • Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc.) is helpful
  • Ability to effectively lead and govern functional decision-making bodies is required
  • Knowledge in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates is required
  • Experience managing to project timelines and milestones in complex business environments is required
  • Skilled at engaging and building relationships with senior business stakeholders is required
  • Requires Travel up to 25% domestic and international
