Your ’day to day’

As a Sr Engineer – Devices Quality Process Integration you’ll drive Process Integration projects and develop appropriate strategies to introduce new methodologies (or adjust the existing ones) related to PMI Embedded Devices, in order to meet business needs.

PMI is outsourcing production of Embedded Devices to external partners. Those are receiving PMI specifications and produce devices accordingly. During production process a certain number of information is recorded. Those consists of full list of component present in each device as well as results of numerous tests (mainly electronic measurements) carried out for each device at different production process steps. The quantity of data in scope is extensive (big data) and each partner is using a different format to exchange data with PMI. The whole process is involving numerous Internal and external partners from different functions and is offering opportunities for optimization.

You will be specifically asked to coordinate that process by defining and driving clear strategies, uniting partners involved, establishing new data exchange standards and making vital adjustments in data integration activities.

More specifically, you will
  • Lead development and introduction of new functionalities in this environment and ensure their alignment with business procedures
  • Coordinate and prioritize Systems changes at PMI and external partners
  • Ensure availability & integrity of data of interest
  • Provide corporate consultation on integration processes/methodologies and assess impact of process changes
  • Provide mentorship to various internal and external partners on devices data exchange requirements in line with PMI specifications, industry standards and regulations
  • Supervise and promote standard methodologies across vendors and affiliates
  • Work with devices firmware team to propose enhancements to improve device data log acquisition and transfer through the whole data pipeline
Who we’re looking for
  • College/University degree in an exact field like Engineering or Information Technology
  • Meaningful experience in Data Integration engineering
  • Background in a consumer electronic or electronic manufacturing industry
  • Advanced knowledge of data exchange technologies
  • Good understanding of data warehouse optimization to manage big data
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python and C/C++ languages are a plus
  • Effective communicator, willing to take action, used to work with multiple collaborators
  • Comfortable to work with remote partners with minimal supervision and available for occasional travel
  • Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn on the fly
  • Great attention to detail and natural willingness to challenge the status-quo
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written
