For our Product & Portfolio Management and Deployment team in Switzerland, we are therefore looking for a Flavor Engineer.
In this position you will be responsible to maintain flavors and (e) solutions portfolio for cigarettes and RRP products using adequate systems. Modify as necessary (while maintaining Taste superiority) based on Markets and Product Stewardship requirements. Roll-out the new versions according to PMI guidelines and best practices.

You will:

  • Maintain a relevant and healthy flavor/(e)solutions portfolio meeting PMI standard
  • Maintain, and if needed, adapt existing flavor systems for conventional and Reduced Risk Products for use in various markets worldwide
  • In case of adaptations, ensure all milestones (e.g. Sensory, Compliance, Pilot productions, etc.) are properly and timely met and in accordance with Quality Standards
  • Deploy timely on the lead market(s) and harmonize to others promptly after
  • Manage formulas having industrial scale constraints in mind
  • Support PMI factories globally for troubleshooting linked to flavors/(e) Solutions
  • Establishes preliminary specifications in accordance with Control Strategy. Follow-up and adapt as necessary
  • Work with Procurement and Material Qualification teams to ensure supply security and price leverage without compromising on the quality of the ingredients/flavors and finished goods
  • Lead or support Productivity initiatives impacting portfolio in scope
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for all topics related to ingredients, flavors and (e) Solutions across PMI
  • Products evaluation is not mandatory and on a pure voluntary basis

We’re looking for someone with:

  • College/University, Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience. Food or Chemistry background a plus
  • Strong skillsets in Project Management activities along collaborative mindset
