As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities
  • Lead surveillance audits at Kopter suppliers in accordance with yearly Supplier Surveillance Program, conduct follow-up audits to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented by suppliers
  • Manage non-conformities raised during external audits, approve corrective actions proposed by suppliers and follow the related progress up to the closure within the foreseen timing
  • Independently manage the first approval of Kopter suppliers
  • Evaluate and accept the Quality Plans required of suppliers and related documentations
  • Perform other activities to control suppliers (investigations, data analysis to design surveillance plans, risk assessment etc.)
  • Participate in jointly design reviews with suppliers and Kopter Engineering
  • Manage improvement initiatives for SQA processes
  • Cooperate with internal departments (Procurement, Production plants and final helicopter assembly lines, Technical Management, CS&S, Project Management Office, other Quality System functions, etc.) manage issues or potential issues related to Kopter Supply Chain
  • Take part in audit at suppliers performed by Customer/Authorities
Your qualifications
  • Master Degree / Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Chemical, Energy, Engineering Management, Materials) or similar fields of studies
  • At least 3 years professional experience within the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methods (e.g. 8D, 5why, FMEA, risk management, etc.) and aviation regulations (e.g. EASA/FAA Part 21 and Part 145, etc.) an asset
  • Candidates with EN9100 Auditor certification an advantage
  • English minimum B2 (verbal and written); additional languages an asset
