OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

The Supply Chain Lead, CMB serves as a key interface between multiple manufacturing sites and the Buyer to ensure uninterrupted supply of divested products, by S&OP process ownership.

One of the key responsibilities in this position is to serve as a subject matter expert within a particular area of expertise (specifically GMS Supply continuity) to safeguard a common approach and standards on planning, coordination and execution of separation and CMB (contract manufacturing business) activities for relevant Business development (BD) deal(s).

The key role objectives are:

  • Eliminate supply disruptions
  • Set up effective relationship with the Buyer and Takeda manufacturing network
  • To lead within area of expertise and/or contribute to continuous improvement in capabilities of the GMS functions to engage in evaluation activities for BD deals.
  • Adjusting processes and systems to ensure professional and effective business and patient centric output from GMS engagement in evaluation activities for BD deals.

Key Responsibilities

Overarching

  • Support GMS supply continuity program lead, regulatory partners and manufacturing network across several regional deals with 250+ OKU Yen as an annual MSA value to align a strategy for MAT across multiple territories for the assigned deals to avoid supply disruptions and minimize the TDA (transitional distribution agreement) term between Takeda and the buyer
  • Be a key team player in the assigned area of expertise within BD deals and provide leadership / coordination / relationship management both for internal functions and external partner
  • Be a problem-solver for CMB related cases for several regional deals
  • Lead a CMB framework and governance implementation across the deals for key operations areas (Supply Disruption Management, Order Management)
  • Define for the proses set up and identify key risks for the framework
  • Lead the change and support the deals during hyper care of new framework

Demand and Supply planning

Coordinate and facilitate the monthly S&OP meetings to establish consensus demand and supply plan for the mid-/long-term horizon

Facilitate closing gaps between the demand and supply. Develop and recommend alternate solutions derived from analytics and to align with key stakeholders.

Order Management

Ensure timely Customer order execution

Monitor and evaluate all order issues

Ensure shipment prioritization

Compliance to order & supply contract terms

Ensure contract order & supply-related objectives in time and full

Lead troubleshooting of all order & supply-related open issues with key stakeholders

Stakeholder management

Build strong relationship with respective manufacturing network (both internal and external) and the Buyer

Ensure efficient communication across functional teams (Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Business Development, Finances, etc.) for any trends, drivers, risks in a clear and concise manner

Risk Management

Identify significant business risks and escalate to the appropriate leadership team Provide insights and recommendations to help improve results

Data Management

Manage and track key performance metrics (forecast accuracy, supply accuracy, DoH, CSL, etc.) to identify opportunities and potential risks

Manage and adapt as needed the relevant supply chain related reports using Takeda BI tools

Be a role model for Takeda-ism, the Leadership Behaviors and the 4 commitments (PTRB) in everything that is done.

Skills, knowledge and Abilities

  • Scientific graduate (BSc, MSc) with 5+ year pharmaceutical or chemical experience in European and emerging markets, understanding the complexities of market dynamics, operations via direct and indirect business models (i.e. via distributors)
  • 15+ year solid accumulative experience in diverse skills across various supply chain and logistics with increasing responsibilities and accountabilities, including at mid-senior leadership positions
  • Expertise in distribution channels and tenders’ specifics, import regulations for finished goods, regulatory and certification requirements (including serialization) within the pharmaceutical industry in emerging markets is a must
  • Experience in the use of supply chain and demand planning tools, ERP systems (SAP), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data Reporting tools (Qlik, Power BI)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and any other languages
  • Experience in top 10 pharma supply chain is preferable

  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and have the ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.
  • High mathematical aptitude and basic understanding of statistical modeling
