About The Role

The Sustainability Monitoring Process Expert will facilitate important discussions at a global

level on sustainability data collection processes and definitions, and support the reporting

on sustainability data. By defining the processes by which Barry Callebaut will execute its

sustainability strategy, the monitoring process expert will contribute directly to the Forever

Chocolate ambitions: zero child labor, farmers out of poverty, being carbon and

deforestation positive.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Standardize the processes of the monitoring and evaluation teams in the cocoa origin countries so that they provide the relevant data in the most accurate and efficient way
  • Align with stakeholders to define what sustainability data is required, how that data will be collected, what the definitions are, what the rules are, and how the data will be reported.
  • Lead projects to implement or change processes and/or data elements
  • Participate in sustainability projects for customers, donors or countries, as an expert on the monitoring and evaluation deliverables
  • Build and analyze reports that help to evaluate and understand the sustainability activities and their impact
  • Deliver reports to show our sustainability activities and their impact to customers and donors
  • Document data processes, definitions, rules
  • Participate in audits where customers or 3 rd party bodies verify and challenge the sustainability reportingTogether with content experts, deliver learnings from our extensive datasets
About You
  • University level degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a multinational corporate environment with exposure to different stakeholders
  • Fluency in English. Fluency in French or other languages are an asset
  • Able to perform data analysis with spreadsheets and reporting software
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to write professional reports and presentations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to operate in ambiguous and multi-stakeholder environment
  • Able to perform under pressure
  • Any of these experiences are an asset: working with/in developing countrie, sustainability work , process modelling, data management and/or governance
