We are looking for a “Sustainability Program Manager”, who is a combination of influencer, advisor, and expert, to support Nespresso‘s ambition to accelerate the implementation of Regenerative Coffee Agriculture. This strategic position will also galvanize collective intelligence of internal and external stakeholders to design performance framework and raise the bar of practices in the industry.

A day in the life of Sustainability Program Manager

Reporting to the sustainability strategy department of Nespresso, you will provide leadership on regenerative coffee agriculture, develop internal expertise and cascade guidance, build capabilities at headquarter to monitor progress and performance, ensure credibility and trust with external stakeholders. You will act as a catalyst for change, contributing to the agro-ecology transition of the coffee agriculture.
  • Leverage and enhance the regenerative agriculture strategy, orchestrating the cross-functional platform and facilitating the stakeholder relationship management
  • Structure the regenerative agenda into key streams and report progress against company commitments within agreed procedures, timescales
  • Build inhouse expertise on carbon, water accounting and biodiversity performance and soil health for reporting and decision making.
  • Develop collaboratively key assets of the regenerative agriculture journey of Nespresso such as a credible and robust monitoring and Evaluation Framework, guidebooks, dashboards, technical source documents towards communicants, training, etc…
  • Explore innovative solutions, build the business case for scale up (from proof of concept to business case for full operationalization)
  • Facilitate a community of experts, defining the best governance and processes to strengthen the regenerative roadmap and performance measurement
  • Manage the yearly collaboration with key global partners (from strategic to communication)
  • Continuously monitor external & internal trends and issues, and advise for roadmap adaptation

What Will Make You Successful
  • University degree, master or equivalent.
  • Specialization in CSR could be a plus
  • 7-to-10-year professional experience with strong project management and facilitation/engagement skills
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, project management and facilitation
  • Forward and out-of-the-box thinking, inspired by a good knowledge and understanding of real cases of transformative projects
  • Has an ability to extensively engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and ability to generate simple messages from complex insights
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multistakeholder environment
  • Speaking, reading and writing communication skills in English (French, Spanish and Portuguese would be a plus
