As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your Responsibilities
  • Create 3D models for parts and assemblies for the transmission system
  • Create and check detail part, assembly and installation drawings
  • Collaborating with other departments on technical level
  • Elaborate and check technical specifications
  • Prepare experimental, environmental, operational and stress tests
Your Qualifications

– Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, or similar related engineering degree

– Minimum 3 years’ experience with transmission systems or mechanical design in the aerospace industry

– Excellent 3D CAD skills

– Experience to understand and create manufacturing and assembly drawings

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

– English spoken and written, minimum B2
