As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your Responsibilities

►Coordinate activities with other engineering teams (Stress & Fatigue, Airworthiness, ILS,

Structure, Avionics, Safety, Flight Test, Gears & Drives, etc.) in regards to system interfaces and overall engine integration into the helicopter

►Liaise with component suppliers and engine manufacturer

►Define, maintain and demonstrate compliance to system requirements against aircraft and

certification requirements

►Requirements management of the propulsion system with guidance from lead engineer and line manager

►Coordinate system design, integration, qualification, testing, and certification activities with internal departments, suppliers and other service providers

Your Qualifications & Experience

►Minimum 2 years’ experience working on aircraft or rotorcraft propulsion systems. Applications with 4 years gas turbine engine experience with an airframe integration background and component qualification experience are also welcome.

►Bachelor or Masters degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

►Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

►Initial supplier management skills

►Ability to review 3D solid models and 2D drawings in CAD

►Aircraft or helicopter certification experience (CS 23/25/27/29)

►Requirement management experience (Doors or similar) is an asset

►CAD knowledge (Siemens NX or other CAD software) is an asset

►English language (written, spoken) B2
