As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities►Technical and administrative leadership of the powerplant team►Planning and coordination of the development, integration, qualification and certification activities of the powerplant team►Responsible that the design of powerplant systems meet the applicable functional and regulatory requirements►Responsible for the following systems: Powerplant (firewall, engine mounts, engine drains), engine integration, air intake, engine controls, exhaust, oil system, fire detection and fuel systemTasks►Coordinate and manage workload and deliverables within the team, creating project plans and schedules►Focal point for all engine related activities within the design organization and suppliers►Very hands-on technical involvement►Coordinate activities with other engineering teams in regards to system interfaces and overall integration into the helicopter►Manage, review and check requirements, qualification and certification documents. Focal point for certification Authorities technical familiarization and compliance demonstration►Write and update documentation where required to support the teamYour Qualifications & Experience►Bachelor or Masters degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering►Minimum 8 years relevant aeronautical engineering experience in mechanical systems integration (powerplant and/or fuel system).
