Test Engineer

On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced Test Engineer with a background in banking projects to work on a business critical trader order platform in Zurich

This is a 12 month contract starting in the coming months with strong chance of extension/internalisation for the coming five years.

You will work on a strategic project developing and maintaining a business critical order management system in a small team of seven in Zurich, you will handle complex functional and challenging non-functional requirements whilst working with global application owners.

• Responsibility for Quality Assurance of trading and trade order system
• Design and execution of test plans, including Functional, Non-Functional/Performance testing, and Regression testing
• Supporting business stakeholders in Users Acceptance Tests

This team manages a complex application landscape including professional investment portfolio construction tools and mobile applications used during client meetings. They also leverage modern portfolio optimization techniques to automate parts of the investment advice and offer a rich set of analyses to evaluate the investments of our clients.

As the ideal candidate for this position, you will possess the following skills:

• Test engineer with 7+ years’ experience of system testing
• Experience in QA methodologies, including designing and executing manual test scenarios
• Preferably, a solid understanding of Trading Applications, FIX protocol, broker/exchange connectivity, Bloomberg/Reuters, and other relevant industry standards
• Willing to learn new concepts quickly and adapt
• Excellent English communication skills

The team is currently working for home during the pandemic and home office will be offered post COVID (2-3 days per week).

Please note due to COVID interviews would be conducted remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland.
